Offered for your consideration is this unique piece of ship line memorabilia from the Swedish American line.
The Swedish American Line was founded in November 1914 to convey Scandinavian emigrants to America, and Norwegian-Americans back to Europe for vacations. As the number of emigrants declined the company turned it's attention to the cruise market. After 60 successful years, it ceased operations in 1975.
This ashtray is most likely an earlier piece. It features the three crown logo in gold, and gold accents, probably dating to the 50's or 60's, and most likely made in Germany for import. There's an embossed number "6744" on the back edge.
If your a collector of ship memorabilia, this would make a fine addition to your collection; and, it's offered at great price.
