Offered for your consideration is this vintage piece of World War II memorabilia - a membership pin from the Polish Combatants Association, or the Polish acronym - SPK.
The SPK is an international association of Polish ex-servicemen and women, formed in Italy after the end of World War Two when Poland fell under Communist control. Since many of these Poles had already suffered under the Communist occupation of Poland, they could not return to their homeland. They began to immigrate to countries all over the world and formed their association to keep their ties alive and continue their fight to free Poland from Communist oppression. Today SPK has chapters in 21 different countries.
If you know someone who fought for our freedom and yours, and want to commemorate their memory, this would be a nice addition to your World War II memorabilia collection.
