Offered for your collecting pleasures....a pair of hard to find tapered candle holders from the Grand Kabuki pattern, by Georges Briard. Base of one candlestick has a red & gold Japan sticker. Both base bottoms are marked in blue with pattern name and Georges Briard signature. We apologize that are camera flash has whitened the appearance of the pattern a bit. Graphics are perfect.

History: Georges Briard was born as Jascha Brojdo in the Ukraine and died July 30, 2005. He was an award winning designer in the 50s, 60s, and 70s highly regarded for his signature dish, glassware and gold plated serving dishes. Most famous for dishware and glassware, which were offered at high end department stores, such as Bonwit Teller and Neiman Marcus, among others.
