This is a cast iron tool used to crimp the ends of corks for bottles. They would press the the cork ( downsize) to fit the bottle. It would then expand back to its original size. This would have been used for wine and medicine bottles. It was made to fasten to a surface, counter or wall. It has a nice decorative look with most of the original black paint. There are no maker marks that I could find. There is a small amount of surface paint wear and rust. It measures2.75"x 2.75"x 8.5" long.
