This pendant has so much going on that it's hard to know where to start. Central motif is a Roman soldier or centurion done in relief to imitate a coin or medal. This is surrounded by a Maltese cross made up of birds (eagles? doves?) crowns, torches and something that looks like quivers of arrows. Base metal is pewter toned and oxidized in the crevices, All this is accented with ruby red and sapphire blue colored rhinestones, 4 of each color.
Large presentation at a bit over 2 1/2" in diameter. Excellent condition. Large split jump ring at the top makes this easy to slip over your favorite chain. No marks to indicate maker, metal content, or place of origin.
