Herend Hand painted Hungary covered trinket box in the Green Chinese Bouquet pattern. According to the Herend site, this is a pattern created in 1930 for Count Albert Apponyi, featuring a stylized peony surrounded by a garland of leaves with 24K gold rosettes. As far as I can determine this particular box is not in current production, although similar items are. This example is in excellent condition. Normal wear to the bottom but no other chips, cracks, scratches or damage that we can see. Fully marked on bottom. Measures approximately 3 inches x 2 inches x 1.5 inches high.
