A vintage brooch in silver with a gorgeous polished moss agate cabochon in contrasting and complementary shades of rusty red and moss green with white highlights. There's something really quite magical about the stone, especially when viewed against the light, it's like looking into a tiny foreign galaxy!
The design of the brooch mount, a stylised leafy, almost floral, pattern is more feminine and detailed than often found in these Celtic style pins, verging on Art Nouveau.
Hallmarked for sterling silver on the reverse, and bearing the maker's mark S&Co, likely Shipton & Co.
Secures with a locking rollover clasp.
In lovely vintage condition. The silver could be shined up more but we don't like to overpolish as many people prefer the vintage patina, but just let us know!
Size: 4cm diameter.
