A British gold Half Sovereign is suspended from this fine 3mm figaro chain in a rosy yellow gold. The coin - struck in solid 22-carat gold - is dated 1982 and bears an image of St George and the dragon on its reverse and an early portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Arnold Machin RA on its obverse.
The bottom edge of the pendant is hallmarked for Birmingham nine-carat gold and also bears the maker's mark GG. The chain is marked 375 (nine-carat gold) on its springring clasp.
