A beautifully made sparkling paste dress clip in a stylised shell or cornucopia design by the quality jewellers Knoll & Pregizer (described by one jewellery historian as "the Cartier of German costume jewellers"). Likely dating from the 1930s.
This is a really lovely quality piece and in excellent vintage condition - none of the stones is missing and none has obviously been replaced, all still well matched in colour with very little yellowing.
The back is marked 935 - a slightly higher pure silver content than sterling 925 - with the letters KP crossed in a shield. The two clips are on nice strong hinges which snap shut securely.
Size: 3.8 x 2.5cm.
