An elegant ladies' manual evening watch in rich 18-carat gold. Beautifully designed with an exaggerated dial typical of the Art Deco period.
The watch winds and is running (it's kept time for the past couple of hours since we wound it here) but we make no claims for its timekeeping accuracy and suggest it is given a full service if you wish to use it as a timepiece.
The movement is marked SWISS MADE and 16 JEWELS. The reverse is stamped 18 and .75 (18 carat), with the maker's mark SD and what looks like the year letter g, as well as a double F mark and the number 32344.
The reverse of the strap is marked 18CT and ENGLISH MADE. The push clasp works properly and fixes with a safety catch for additional security.
Overall in good vintage condition with minor surface wear. The delicate silvery scalloped pattern which adorns the face is a little tarnished and the 10 and 2 numerals have partially worn with the movement of the hour hand.
Size: The glass face measures 1.7 x 1cm. The whole front section is 2.1 x 1.4cm.
The strap is 4mm wide and 6 and a quarter inches long.
