An elegant Victorian mourning brooch decorated with black enamel and a mother of pearl plaque incised with a flower design. In very nice antique condition, no chips or cracks to the enamel or the mother of pearl.
The reverse of the brooch is nine-carat gold, the golden rococo-style scrolls and oval frame on the front are gold plated.
Secures with a steel pin and C clasp. There is also a tiny loop at the back which could be used to suspend the piece as a pendant.
Size: 4.8 x 3.8cm.
