This is an Ansonia Mantle Click produced in New York City, dated June, 1888. Ansonia was founded in Ansonia, Connecticut in 1851, moving to New York in 1878, production ceased in 2006. The Cabinet is a bronze granular finish with a dark Verde color. There is Bronze Ormalu over the top and front feet. The dail is 5 inches in diameter, the face has no sign of damage or loss of enameing. It has it's original key, and chimes on the hour and half hour with a spring gong. Weight is 10 lbs, height is 13 3/4 inches, width 7 1/2 inches, base 4 1/4 inches. The clokc need to be adjusted to correct and synchronize the chime and timing. This is a beautiful piece and is suitable for any mantle or table top.
