This is a beautiful Iridescent Gold small Vase, sometimes referred to as a toothpic or thumb pressed glass. It is marked in acid etch, QUEZAL, on the Pontil. This glass production was produced in Queens, New York between 1901 through 1924. The company was started by Martin Bach, Sr. who previously had designed for Tiffany in Queens. After Martin died, his son managed the company until it went into default in 1924. This piece is beautifully produced, weighs 3.1 ounces, is 2 3/4 inches in height and is 2 1/4 inches at the lip, 1 3/4 inches at the base. It is in the Art Nouveau design and period.
