This is a beautiful example of Steuben Ivory Glass, consistent with those in Eric Ericson's, A Guide to Steuben Glass, this was produced during the time that Carter was in charge of production around 1920-30. The company is still in production in Corning, N Y. Characteristics of Steuben include the opalescent of the vase, symmetrical contouring, elegant fluting of the lip. It does not have an etched mark but could have had a paper mark at one time. The pontil is ground. It is 10 3/8 inches tall, 9 inches at the upper lip and 4 1/4 inches at the base, without chips or cracks. Condition is mint. Weight is 3lbs 3 ounces.
