This one is just fabulous!!
Lovely Pierrette flapper half doll dressed in blue with a blue cap. Her reddish blonde hair is molded into kiss curls and beautifully painted. Her hands are clasped to her chest. She stands in her gold slippers on a blue porcelain base decorated with grape vines.
Cork separates the body and legs and is tied together through the holes. I don’t know when her skirt was added. It’s whimsical pleats and swirls add just the right touch.
Similar figural can be seen in Marion and Werner’s book The Collector’s Encyclopedia of Half-Dolls on pages 146 & 147.
