This is a gorgeous vintage 1960s faux pearl tassel necklace. The necklace features two strands of faux pearls, detailed gold tone elongated drop beads, clear rhinestone rondelles and a 6 strand tassel with faux pearls, more clear rhinestone rondelles and textured spherical gold tone beads. The necklace is long and makes a fantastic statement. The clasp is a large faux pearl with a snap in clasp that is secure when worn. The necklace belonged to Norma who is in her late eighties and she had the necklace since the early 1960s. She loved to go dancing and dress up with pretty jewelry. The necklace is not signed, but often these necklaces made by companies like Marvella, Napier and Trifari had hangtags that were removed.
The necklace measures 30 inches long. The tassel measures 5.5 inches. When worn, the necklace has a drop of 15 inches from the base of the neck. With the length of the necklace, you can slip it over your head so you don’t need to use the clasp. The necklace is clean and in excellent condition.
If you love pearls and tassel necklaces, you will love wearing this beautiful necklace from the sixties. A quality necklace that sits beautifully when worn.
