Unique, 3 piece, sculpted fish necklace suspended from a woven black and white cord with a gold tone push-in clasp. The fish is made up of two hand-painted ceramic sections separated by a gold tone metal section. The clasp is marked: "U. CORREANI". Ugo Correani, who died in 1992, worked with many of the world's best fashion designers including Versace, Valentino, Christian Lacroix, and Karl Lagerfeld at both Chanel and Chloé. His designs were produced in limited quantities and are therefore difficult to find. The necklace measures 16 1/2 inches long. The fish measures 6 inches long. There is a shallow chip on the back of the black and white section, which can be seen in the close-up photo. It does not show when worn. Otherwise, the piece is in excellent condition. A fun example of Mr. Correani's creativity!
