Dramatic, 2-tone, cast plastic bead necklace in tan and burnt orange. The irregularly shaped beads inspire me to think that this necklace could have been worn by Wilma Flintstone! The beads are strung on orange cord with a gold tone push in clasp. The clasp is marked: "U. CORREANI". It also has the original paper hangtag which reads: "UGO CORREANI, ITALY". Ugo Correani, who died in 1992, worked with many of the world's best fashion designers including Versace, Valentino, Christian Lacroix, and Karl Lagerfeld at both Chanel and Chloé. His designs were produced in limited quantities and are therefore difficult to find. The necklace measures 20 inches long. There is some crazing of the gold tone plating on the back of the clasp, as shown in the close-up photo. Otherwise, the necklace is in brand new, never worn condition. A unique piece of high fashion design!
