These beautiful vintage sterling silver earrings are made in a lovely repousse 'shell' shape with applied beading. Their patina is wonderful and they are exquisitely made. The design is truly 'vintage 1950's' but remains stunning and timeless. They measure about 1 1/4" long and 3/4" 'deep and weigh a total of 9 grams. Perfect condition with no dings, dents or anything other than light wear commensurate with their age. Although they look substantial, they are not heavy and so are very comfortable to wear!
The screw backs are in perfect order and presently set so the earrings sit 'sideways' on the earlobe but of course these could be converted to pierced fastening which would allow the earrings to sit vertically if desired.
One of the pair is stamped Sterling Taxco 925 - under which there seems to be a maker's name which may be J Gomez but it is very hard to see! There is also the stamp 'Sterling' - Made in Mexico. The back of the screw is also stamped with the initials 'R.S.'
Thank you for looking at this stylish pair of vintage earrings and please do not hesitate to ask for more photos or information.
