This is an immaculate French late 19th C fine light weight cotton 'below the knee' nightgown trimmed with beautiful handmade lace on the ruffled front closure, collar and cuffs. Very finely done narrow pin tucks to the front of the bodice, around the edge of the collar and around the cuffs of the sleeves add lovely, elegant detail to this special nightie. It is beautifully made. The front opening is 18" long and is closed by with 4 fine mother of pearl buttons, which are hidden by the ruffle. The lower half of the 'skirt' is slightly vented towards the hem for added comfort. Perfect for summer!
