This is a 1900's Baccarat French Crystal Knife Rest Cherub / Angel Model S503 "Enfants Boudeurs " Glass Knife Rest. The Cherubs / Angels Heads on either end are Translucent satin / frosted glass and the bar in the middle is clear glass. The bottom of the knife rest is supported on 2 flat oval feet on either of the knife rest. Baccarat did not hand engrave a signature on any of their models before 1936, they were signed after 1936 catalogue baccarat models attached attesting. (They did have a paper label that they used to mark their Crystal Glass) In 1764 King Louis xv granted permission to found a Baccarat glass art crystalerie received his first royal commission in 1823 from King Louis XVIII.
