This is a Sterling Silver Souvenir Spoon from "Richmond California". It has a Wonderful full scene on this entire Handle of this spoon with so much interesting History in this area. It has a Skyline Scene of Houses, Alcatraz, San Francisco Bay with a Sunrise and the words "Golden Gate" above, Sailboats, small Fishing Boats, Hills, a Lookout Building and showing a switch back road on Mt. Tamalpais, a railroad that went up there between 1896 and 1930. The Golden Gate is Hawk Hill at the Marin Headlands. This may be the No. 1 urban lookout in the world. The panorama features the entrance to San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge, with San Francisco as an Oz-like Emerald City backdrop. Then there is Alcatraz Island, just a 10-minute ferry ride from San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf, is best known for its days as a federal prison (1934 to 1963), during which time it incarcerated some of the country’s most notorious bad guys being the likes of Al Capone and “Creepy” Karpis who took up their involuntary prison stay on this desolate island, also known as "The Rock".
