This is a Silverplated 1890's Victorian Figural Napkin Ring with a Bird & a Leaf. There is a big Ivy Leaf that the Napkin Ring is balanced on and the Stem from the Ivy Leaf comes around in the back and curls around to the side of the Napkin Ring. The Parrot has his Claws curled around the Stem and is leaning against the Napkin Ring. The Leaf has a rough finish on it like Ivy and has veining. The Napkin Ring has a beautiful Victorian design on it. The Parrot is quite detailed on its entire body with Feathers, his Eyes, his Beak and long Tail Feathers. It is in great condition with no problems, other than the silver plate is worn on it. The Leaf measures 3 1/8" by # 1/4" and the stem curls around and measures 3 1/8" in length. The Napkin Ring measures 1 5/8" across the opening and is 1 5/8" in length and measures 5 5/8" all around the Ring. The Bird measures 2 5/8" in length and 5/8" across the Tail. On the bottom of this Napkin ring, it has the Trademark " M B Co # 202." for Manning, Bowman & Co., Meriden, Connecticut and were in Business from 1896-1915.
