This is an 1890's Silver Figural Medieval Woman Spoon. This European Spoon of a Maiden, possibly German, or Austrian, she is a real Beauty, who is holding a Chalice / Goblet in one hand and a Big Tankard down by her side. Perhaps she is a Barmaid in a Pub serving Beer. She has a wonderful Medieval Costume with layers and layers of Clothing of petticoats and Ruffles and puffy sleeves and long skirts with an Empire Style low top. On the back of the spoon, it shows the back of her head with very long braids down her back below her waist and the puffy sleeves and bustle on the backside (a framework or padding worn at the back by women to puff out the skirt) We did not find any markings on this beautiful figural spoon, so we would assume that is it silverplated with a Gold Wash bowl and is a solid mold, perhaps it is cast metal and feels heavy. It has incredible detailing on the front of the spoon and on the back. It measures 4 1/2" in length. This spoon is in great condition.
