This is a 1910 Sterling Silver Souvenir Fork of "Chicago". Souvenir Forks are far scarcer than the Souvenir Spoons and are heavier weight as well. It measures 6 1/2" in length. On the front of the Handle: It has the State Seal for Illinois on it, there is a person laying in a Shell Cloud Bed in the Sky, on one side, an American Indian on the edge of a Landing looking out at the Ocean, on the other side, A Sailing Ship in the Ocean, and in the middle is a Shield with Stars and Stripes and a bundle of Wheat. Next, it has a wonderful rendering of the Huge Building, "Field Columbian Museum" it is right next to the Water and there are people in Small Sail Boats sailing right in front of this Massive Building. It then has "C H I C A G O" down the rest of the Handle. Ont the back of the Handle: It has pictured "The Public Library", "City Hall", "Grant Monument" and "The Masonic Temple". It is marked with the early Pennant for Watson Company Sterling and is Dated 04/25/1910.
