This is a 1890's Heavy Sterling Silver Art Nouveau Unger Bros. Company Douvaine Pattern 5" Sugar Sifter Spoon. It is decorated with Dolphins and the face of Neptune. The Gold Washed Bowl has an elaborate Cupped Bowl Shape and a fancy pierced design. It is engraved on the handle with a fancy Monogram of "K". It has the Unger Bros Trade Mark with an interlaced U & B in a circle with Sterling above and 925 Fine ( for the Sterling Content which is 925 / 1000 ). This Firm began making Art Nouveau Patterns of Flatware in the 1880's. In 1910, the Unger Bros. Company ceased using the dies for the Art Nouveau patterns and completely closed down production of any silver pieces in 1914.
