This is a 1870's Coin Silver Child's Mug with Blown Out Children's Heads on it. This piece stands 4 & 1/4" tall, is 2 1/4" across the bottom, 9 7/8" around this Coin Silver Mug and measures 3" across. It has a fancy curved Handle that measures 3" from the very tip to the very bottom. It has some small deep dents just under the Engraved portion and below the Garland Swag. There are (4) applied Blown Out Children's Heads that have Repousse Floral and Leaves surrounding their heads. Between the Heads, it is joined by Repousse / Floral Garland Swags. There is Beading on the top of the rim and on the bottom edge. It has a wonderful Script Engraving on the front of it, "To Elizabeth Douglas Young / with kindest love and good wishes / from / Grandmamma Douglas / June 18th 1873." It has a mark of a 6 point Star on the bottom and there is a small drop or mass of silver on a spot by the inside edge, over next to the inside edge.
