This is a 1890's Small Gilt Bronze Fancy French Frame. It is a True Beauty! It originally held a Painting on Ivory, but has been replaced with a Photograph of a Victorian Aristocratic Looking Woman from the same time period. She has her hair drawn up on her head, she is wearing a flower in her hair, has earrings and a Brooch on her collar. It has a fancy Ribbon that ties into a Bow on the top part of the frame. the Ribbon and Bow measures 3 1/4" across and 7/8" tall. the round Shaped frame has rope design and beading all around it. It has a loop on the back of the Frame to hang it from the wall. It has (33) Brass Tabs that bend over to hold the picture / photo and backing in place. It looks like the loop on the back has been soldered back to the frame at one time. This Frame measures 3 5/8" across with the Ribbon and Bow, it measures 4 1/4". the opening part for the picture / photo measures 3" across by 3" down in a circle shape. It measures 11 1/2" all the way around the frame. It has Purple Velvet on the back of the frame.
