This is a Schafer & Vader Germany 3 Pc Porcelain Dresser Set with Blown Out Roses. Schafer & Vader was founded in Rudolstadt, Thuringia, Germany in 1890. The Trademark is an incised Crown over a Starburst design and a number. 1. Hat Pin Holder: It measures 4 1/2' tall, 3 1/2" across at the widest part measuring the Roses, it is 3 1/4" by 2 1/4" across the bottom. It is in the shape of a Lighthouse or a Medieval Tower. It has 13 holes on the top there is a Basketweave design on the Hat Pin and on the top that looks like a Basketweave Lid / Top. Climbing on the lower front and side it has 2 Big Blooms of Roses that are Yellow and Pink with a Pink bud. It is marked on the bottom with their Trademark and the bottom is solid. Inside the Hat Pin, there is something that is loose, perhaps a Hair Pin, straight pin or could possibly be a shard of porcelain. 2. Powder Jar: It is heart shaped with the Basketweave design on the Lid and base of this piece. It has 3 big blooms of Roses (2 red and 1 yellow ) and has a closed circle in the middle with a basketweave design. It has the Schafer & Vader trademark on the bottom. It measures 3 1/2" across by 3 1/4", it is 1 3/4" tall and with measuring the blown out Roses on the lid, it is 2 3/4" tall. It has what appears to be factory flaw under the lid with a small chip on the part that fits into the base. It is not noticeable and does not show when you have the lid on the base. 3. Hair Receiver: It is exactly like the Powder Jar except where there is a circle in the middle of the Lid, there is a hole in the middle. It is just like the Powder Jar, with Roses on the lid and marked on the bottom, S&V. It has 2 little small nicks near the point of the heart lid, but is not noticeable and does not show when the lid on the base. This is a beautiful and scare Set and would be an addition to dressing up a Vanity or Dresser top.
