This is a Postcard of the " Early Oregon State Penitentiary ".
It has the Front of the Castle Fortress Looking Building with (2) Man standing under the Gated Entrance with a Arched Sign above them. It is quite a Fortress Looking Metal Fence with Pointed Bars on the very Top as well as on the top of the Sign. It has the following on it: " Oregon State Penitentiary / Visiting Hours is 11AM - 4 PM Vistors Not Admitted Sundays or Holidays ". It has information on the bottom of the card " 1095-Gateway, State Penitentiary, Salem, Oregon ". It is nice card with only some teeny bumps on the corners and shows on the back that it was once in a Postcard Album. It does not have a Postmark on it and has no message on it. It was Published by Edward H. Mitchell in San Francisco. It measures 3 1/2" by 5 1/2".
