This is a rare item for sure. The dimensions of the frame are approximately 17" by 23", and the shadow box is 7" Deep. The frame has been poorly repaired on the bottom left corner, but other than that the Diorama is in excellent condition. The Birds were professionally mounted when this was made , probably around the turn of the century. The mountain scene replete with stream was painted by a talented artist as it makes the Diorama appear very life-like. This may have been part of a Museum of Natural History years ago as I have seen similar Dioramas in museums.
