This is an Outstanding 1870's Bohemian Cranberry Vase. It has a 3" by 3 & 3/4" Oval applied Porcelain Portrait of a Beautiful Lady that is Hand Painted and has quite a bit of Gold decoration on it. Some of the Gold has some small amount of wear on it and the rim has a chip that is about 1/8" down from the top edge. If this chip was ground down by a Professional Glass Grinder, it would not show at all. Although, we think that this Vase is so attractive, that we would just leave it as it is now. It has been in our Dining Room for around fifteen years and we have never had anyone make a critical comment about it, as it is such a Beautiful and Outstanding Piece. This vase stands 11 & 1/2" Tall and measures 3 & 5/8" across the rim. The foot on this Vase measures 3 & 1/4" across. The Plaque that is a Porcelain Portrait is Fantastically Hand Painted! This type of Glass was often referred to as Moser Glass, produced in Southern Bohemia, it would be impossible to attribute this Wonderful Work of Art to any particular maker. Other than a Gold painted number "9" on the bottom of the foot, there are no other markings on it.
