This unusual and scarce Georgian Brooch / Pin dates from 1715 to 1837. It is about the size / diameter of a quarter. It is in excellent condition and is tightly wrapped of 14k or 15k Gold or higher ( gold ) wire. It has a loop so that it can hang from a necklace chain and a pin to keep it against your clothing. The center part is a Hardstone waxy translucent cream Chalcedony cabochon and the middle stone is a deep purple red Garnet. It is a most unusual and is quite a striking brooch. It so different, it is unlikely you will see another just like this one.
