This is a 1847 Roger Bros. Silverplate in the Old Colony Pattern. It is a Very Large Ladle that could be used for a Soup or Stew. This pattern was patented Oct. 17, 1911. The generous Bowl is deep and almost 3" across and from inside of the Bowl to the end measures 2 7/8". This Soup Ladle measures 11 3/4". in length. It has a slight bit of wear on the heal from resting on the table and there are some little scratches in the bowl from use.
