This is an exceptional Shiebler Sterling Berry Server that is in the elusive Rococo Pattern which was introduced by George Shiebler in 1888! It is marked Sterling, Wings on either side of a "S" inside a circle, with a Retailer's mark of Theo R. Starr. George W.Shiebler & Co started out in 1876 in New York, New York and was out of business before 1915. It is a very Large serving piece, measuring over 9" long and the oval bowl measures 3" by 3 & 3/4" At the tip, it has a hand engraved "M " Monogram. It is very Near Mint and still it retains the original Gold Wash in this huge oval Bowl.
