This 1920's French Wrought Iron Chandelier is interpretative of the Gothic or Tudor style. It made it's way to the United States via Argentina.
The main round body is hand forged with hand stamped decorative rosettes highlighted in gold. There are 8 pierced openings within the main body that silhouette a provincial fleur-de-lis. The four arms directly under the supporting chain are detailed with lion or gargoyle heads. Each of these arms feature a 4" high gold faux beeswax candle sleeves. The remaining four lights mounted to the top of the body feature 6" high gold faux beeswax candle sleeves. This creates comfortable height movement between the collective candles. The supporting hand forged chain connects to a small hand forged body featuring 4 similar rosettes and cross like pierced openings. We did not alter the original black patinated finish. It has been rewired in the French wired fashion (meaning that the wires are exposed.)
Size: 33"d x 34"h to top of small band. We have added 3 feet of black chain and plain canopy. If you require a specific finished length, please let us know as it may alter the price.
