Wonderful 1860's Swiss Made Music Box with 61 perfect Teeth, playing four arias. Music Box is in near perfect condition (a few minor scratches to the case (see Photos). Also, the lid is slightly warped, but this has no effect on it's beautiful sound. The 4 arias are: La Grande Duchess (A Choral Sur la discipline) by Offenback; L'Invitation a la Valse (Invitation to the dance) by Weber; Les Cloches de Corneville (Chanson des Cloches) (The Corneville Bells) by Planquette and La Fille du Rigiment (De cet aveu si tendre) (Daughter of the Regiment) by Donizetti.
ALL 61 teeth are perfect and show no signs of repair. Lever winding mechanism is tight and works perfectly.
I have uploaded all four songs onto YouTube. Please note that these videos were filmed with my phone and I do not feel the sound quality is that great - the sound that this box produces is much richer, vibrant and much deeper than the videos.
The four videos can be reached at: https://youtu.be/tRn08GJXXrY https://youtu.be/K64eikL_2qw https://youtu.be/jMnaPMr014A and https://youtu.be/NMbW4-4Xyng
At it's widest points, the box and lid measure 12 1/2" wide x 6 15/16" deep x 5" tall. The box does have a lock behind it's ornate escutcheon, but I do not have the key. Weighs over 9 pounds.
