Great Americana! Handmade 1940's lamps in the shape of Drums. Made out of a heavy construction grade cardboard tubes, weighted with plaster. Each "drum" is painted a teal blue green with a rust/orange/red band at top and bottom. The front of each has a decal of a bald eagle holding a shield with red and white stripes and 13 stars on a blue background. A metallic gold roping is then strung from top to bottom - attached to the drum by 5 point star tacks.
The drum portion of the lamps stand 8 3/4" tall - overall height including the harps is 22". Drum diameter is about 7 1/2"
Perfect wear to these vintage lamps with paint scuffs, fading and chipping in several areas. A few of the star tacks are missing and have been replaced by black "carpet" tacks. Much of the metallic covering on the roping is loose or missing. These lamps work and seem in good condition but I have not rewired them.
These would be a wonderful addition to any Primitive/Americana enthusiast's collection.
