Tiffany Sterling Silver Repousse' Cream Jug ca. 1892
Beautiful Tiffany repousse' creamer, the date circa 1892 indicated both by the Tiffany mark, used 1892 - 1902 and the pattern number, used in the year 1892.
This cream jug features beautifully repoussed flowers and scroll designs, as well as raised flowers on the rim and handle. The handle has an intricate cut-out design. Another lovely feature is the deeply indented fibbing just above the foot. The creamer has a monogram within a scroll and floral reserve.
The cream jug weighs 122 grams (3. 92 Troy Oz.) and measures 4" high to the top of the handle, 4 3/4" wide from handle to tip of spout, and 2 1/4" deep at the rim.
The condition is excellent, and the piece is clearly marked. In addition to the Tiffany mark and the pattern numbers, it is marked 1 Gill, which is an old unit of measurement equal to 1/8 pint.
This is an outstanding piece of Tiffany silver in every respect.
