Decorative English silverplated snuff box.
Deeply engraved silverplated snuffbox with floral and geometric engraving. This oval shaped snuffbox is marked for Sheffield England. The mark wasn't punched completely clearly, but it is easily identifiable as James Dixon & Sons Sheffield. This particular mark was used from 1835 - 1920.
The snuff box is in good condition, with just normal wear to the silverplating. The top closes tightly. There are engraved initials on the top.
It measures about 3 1/4" x 1 7/8" x 1/2". A nice pocket snuffbox from the Victorian Era.
