Beautiful pierced creamware bottle coaster.
English creamware, circa 1780. Very possibly Leeds, though similar ware were made by Wedgwood and a number of other factories.
The coaster has a triple line of piercing that goes all the way around the piece; a short domed piercing at the bottom, an elongated domed piercing in the middle, and a heart shaped piercing at the top. Please notice that these piercings are hand done, each is slightly different. Quite an impressive amount of effort!
The coaster has a nicely shaped foot and also a beautifully shapped rim, with raised dots all the way around.
Excellent condition, with a bit of minor roughness around the rim and a few tiny chips on the base. Unmarked.
5 1/4" diameter at the base, 2" high.
