A nice early Rookwood Pottery vase decorated in the Limoges style.

This has the RP mark with 6 flames, indicating the year 1892. It has incised initials for Emma D. Foertmeyer.

The vase is elegantly shaped with pinched sides and a flaring, wavy and slightly assymetrical rim. The background shades from beige to a rusty rose with flowers painted in white and rose, and green leaves. Lovely and subtle decoration.

About 2 3/4" tall by about 4" diameter. Excellent condition.
