Fine Dutch Delft blue and white floral plate, circa late 18th Century.
This is an attractive example of a late 18th Century Dutch Delft plate, with stylized flowers and fruits, and with a bold stylized border. The rim is yellow, which sets off the dark blue perfectly.
The plate measures 9 1/4" diameter and is fairly deep, measuring about 1 1/4" at the rim.
The condition is very good; no cracks or hairlines, and the plate rings beautifully. There is glaze fritting on the rim, as is usual with early Delft. I've shown the areas with the most fritting in the last two photos.
