19th Century Pewter Inkwell
Nice pewter inkwell, circa late 18th or early 19th Century. This could be either American or English.
A good sized inkwell with a broad base, this would look great in any collection of pewter or on a period desk. Nice engine turnings on the sides, base and top make this piece an excellent example of the form. Five holes for your quill pens.
Excellent condition, with one note that the cover does not lie completely flat when closed.
Measures about 7 7/8" diameter at the base by 2 1/2" high.
