Tole painted tin hogscraper candlestick.
Circa early 19th Century, this tin hogscraper style candlestick is quite unusual in that it has tole painting. The black background is decorated with flowers and leaves in red, green and yellow. There is also a yellow band around the middle of the stick itself, and red on the pushup lever.
Pigtail top for hanging on a rail, pushup ejector with a nicely made round lever.
Overall good condition, with wear to the tole decoration and some denting to the lip and pigtail.
Height about 5 1/2".
