Barr Worcester coffee can.
Fine porcelain coffee can (i.e., a coffee cup with straight sides) made at the Worcester factory in England during the Barr Worcester period, dating 1792 - 1804.
This coffee can is finely painted with floral sprays in the "Oriental" manner popular in England in the 18th Century. The orange, green and gilt are usual colors, the blue is quite unusual and attractive.
Exceptional condition, including the gilt on the rim, the gilt band at the bottom and the nicely painted gilt details on the handle. All in all, a superior example.
Marked with an incised B. Measures 2 3/8" tall.
