English porcelain botanical plate circa 1820.
Beautiful daffodils hand painted in white and yellow with green leaves and buds, some of the leaves with brown tips. The plate has an elaborate gilt border.
The only mark is a pattern number 190, which possibly could be matched up with an early pattern book to determine the maker, but I couldn't find it. Likely makers are Davenport, Coalport, Derby and others.
Excellent condition, with just an "in the making" speck on the front and minor rubbing to the gilt rim.
This is a pair -- each with different botanical painting -- with another plate I'm listing today.
