Dr. Wall period Worcester blue and white painted jug in the Mansfield pattern circa 1760.
Very finely and creatively painted sparrow beak pitcher in the early and desirable Mansfield pattern. As in all Worcester painted patterns, the quality of painting varies. This is top notch, with a beautiful central flower. The inside rim is also painted with an attractive pattern.
Marked with the Dr. Wall period Worcester crescent mark. There is also an early collection label. I like to leave these, but it can be easily removed if unwanted.
Excellent condition, with a stable crack in the handle and a minute chip at the tip of the spout. 3 3/8" high.
