These lovely sheep certainly come from the Parisian toys factory Georges Renault and Bon-Dufour,located 80 Vignoles street in the 20th arrondissement from 1890 to1930.
They are made of agglomerated sawdust covered with plaster and a colored varnish, also called composition.
The colored parts are hand painted and varnished.
The sheep are shown in different positions, standing or lying down, all as adorable as each other !
Some of them have small paint lacks or lifting, which is normal for their age, over a hundred years.
This lovely flock will be perfect for a pastoral decor for your dolls , or for your Christmas nativity scene.
Dimension : about 3,5’’ L x 2,5’’ H for the tallest (9cm x 6,5cm)
about 1,8’’ L x 1,2’’ H for the smallest (4,5cm x 3cm)
