This typical kind of miniature furniture were made in Brittany, more precisely in the Finistère,approximately between the years 1900 and 1960.
This one is in carved oak with a decor of openwork wheels and small bobins.
The doors are mounted on pretty gilded brass hardware. There is a hook on the shelf to hold the door.
It closes with a wooden button and a nail that has a little scratched the door.
The two sides of the wardrobe are also carved. There was an accident on the left side of the cornice, and the piece was more or less well glued! but this is at the back and is not very disturbing. Please, see photos.
The dimensions are : 14,4’’ high (36,5cm),9,6’’ width (24,5cm) and thickness 5,5’’ (14cm) at the cornice.
It’s a charming little piece of furniture perfect for storing the trousseau or the crockery of your dolls.
